Hi, I’m Harriet - your new cat sitter.
I offer stress free in-home care to your feline family, so that they can feel safe in familiar territory while you’re away.
I am qualified in feline first aid and CPR, have an enhanced DBS check, and am fully insured through Protectivity. If we’ve not worked together before, please book a free meet and greet - you can get a sense of me and my approach, with no pressure to book!
What to Expect
Step 1: Enquire
Fill in the enquiry form with the dates that you need, and a bit of information about your cat.
If it’s our first time working together, we’ll plan a time for us to have a meet and greet - I can meet you and your cat, and get all of the information I need in order to give your cat the best care possible while you’re away. There’s no pressure to book - if after the meet and greet you don’t think that I’m the best fit for your needs, there is no expectation to proceed!
If we’ve worked together before, I’ll check that all of the information is still the same. We can have a phone call or - if you prefer - you can book a drop in session if you want to take me through anything else.
Step 2: Meet & Greet
If you’re happy to continue and I’m available for the dates you need, the next step is to confirm the booking! I’ll send you an invoice, some paperwork, and payment. Payment is required in full before the service starts.
Step 3: Confirmation
We can arrange a time for me to collect your keys (if this wasn’t done at the meet and greet), and then we’re away!
Step 4: Cat sitting!
All visits include:
Bowls cleaned, water refreshed and food refilled.
Litter tray spot-cleaned (and fully changed once for bookings which are seven days or more, or if requested).
Enriching play and undivided attention, in whichever way your cat responds to best.
Updates following each visit, including photos, videos, and a written update of what we were up to.
Bringing in post and watering plants (if needed).
Why should I book you?
There are many cat sitters out there, so this is a fair question. I am confident in reading cats’ body language, and will always let them come to me, but that’s not all.
I am experienced in working with cats, and am happy to do whatever they need to feel content while you’re away. Cats can be odd (no two ways about it) and have their specific routines - whether that’s singing them a specific song before giving them their food, scooting them around in a box, or putting them in their favourite jumper before administering their inhaler - all of which I have done. Anything that makes you wonder ‘how do I explain this to the cat sitter?’, I’m typically happy to oblige!
I have completed a vet-delivered course on feline health management and first aid, so am familiar with many of the most common chronic conditions in cats, and how they can be managed. I have experience working with kittens as well as geriatric cats, and can safely administer medications (such as drops, tablets and inhalers). I also have a focus on enriching play, and - if your cat is feeling social - will spend a lot of time playing with them! I’m always doing more research on cat care, and am currently learning pet photography, so you’ll get lots of photos of them!
